Friends of ours gave us passes to Kingdom Bound on Wed. and we got to see the NewsBoys again this year. What a thrill! I sat next to Nick (our second son) and asked him how many people he thought were at the concert. His guess was @10,000 (I really have no clue how many people were there). I looked at him and said, all these people here praising God. Imagine what Heaven will be like!!
I’m bad at knowing the names of songs, I think it is called “Blessed be the Name of the Lord” but anyway, the one line in the song says “Every blessing you pour out, I’ll turn back to praise”. Well that really hit me so I want to praise God for a huge blessing to us.
I have one year left of Seminary. Skip and I took a 35% pay cut a year ago. At the end of June, I told him that we cannot afford for me to take any more student loans out. (we had $$ to pay back the first two years loans in a savings account) We would have to figure out a way to pay for my last year out of pocket or pray for scholarships to come in. I applied for every scholarship I could. Did I mention we will have 4 of us in college in the fall? I didn’t plan that one too well
I logged into my account to find out when my tuition was due…and I saw this list and the word “pending” after each listing. I looked and then looked again. I yelled for Skip to come and look too. (I really couldn’t believe what I was seeing).
I received 3 scholarships. It is going to cost us $12 for me to go to Seminary next year. Yes every blessing you pour out I will turn back to praise.
Praise and thank you Lord for providing me my last year of Seminary.
As I have taken a huge pay cut to be part of this church plant (can you say almost 100% pay cut??!!)—I am beginning to see how God will provide and equip and it is amazing some of the things that have already happened!! He promises…and delivers!!
That is INCREDIBLE. God is so cool.
Hurray! You deserve it!
